How to watch the 2016 Amway Canadian Championship

Semi-final and final rounds broadcast on TSN

Fans from coast to coast to coast across this nation can watch all eight matches to Canada Soccer’s 2016 Amway Canadian Championship, with both the semi-final and final rounds broadcast on TSN and the preliminary round streamed live on

The Amway Canadian Championship features Canada’s five professional soccer teams in action over the course of a six-week national competition. Inaugurated in 2008, the winner takes home the Voyageurs Cup and qualifies as Canada’s representative in CONCACAF Champions League.

The 2016 preliminary round features Ottawa Fury FC against FC Edmonton, with the 11 May match at Clarke Field in Edmonton and the 18 May match at TD Place in Ottawa.

The winner of the Ottawa-Edmonton series then faces last year’s national champions Vancouver Whitecaps FC, with the opening leg at home on 1 June and the return leg in Vancouver on 8 June at BC Place. During the same window, Toronto FC faces Impact Montréal FC in the other semi-final series, with the 1 June match at BMO Field in Toronto and the 8 June match at Stade Saputo in Montréal.

The 2016 Amway Canadian Championship Grand Final will be played over two legs – again home and away – during mid-weeks ties on 22 June and 28 or 29 June.

This year marks the first year that TSN – the home of champions – will broadcast Canada Soccer’s Amway Canadian Championship. RDS will provide a French broadcast platform for Montréal fans to view the games in which the Impact are involved.

Along with professional club matches in May and June, TSN will also broadcast the upcoming Road to Rio Women’s International Series (Canada v Brazil on 4 and 7 June) as well the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia Qualifiers (2 and 6 September).
